Job Description

The Program Officer provides operational and planning support for the Programs of the NKF, especially the planning and implementation of the Online Child Safety Summit, entrepreneurship training for youth and young professionals and engagement with partners.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of Programs
  • • Develop a detailed program of action for the Program and for
  • mobilising resources from different stakeholders
  • • Ensure all programs align with the key objectives of NKF and
  • promote the .ng brand
  • • Prepare a budget for the Program and track adherence to budget
  • • Contact and engage critical stakeholders and ensure their support
  • for the program
  • • Appraise sponsorship from any organization and/or individual to
  • ensure no political undertone/ ulterior motive
  • • Conduct effective Stakeholder management and communication
  • • Pursue endorsement and support from government, corporations,
  • foundations and individuals for the implementation of the Program
  • • Support and provide inputs into program analysis, design, planning
  • and execution activities
  • • Receive, sort, analyse and summarizes materials for the
  • implementation of the program
  • • Maintain meeting and events calendar for programs
  • • Develop periodic program status reports
  • • Appraise program implementation for maximum reach and impact
  • in line with the approved plan
  • • Work closely with vendors on the field to execute events logistics as
  • required for the programs
  • • Coordinate registration process for conferences and events of the
  • program
  • • Maintain clear understanding of FGN MDAs, International Agencies’
  • and Donor compliance and ethics standards; and adhere to those
  • standards
  • • Identify risks and issues affecting implementation of programs,
  • resolve or escalate to Chairman of Program Committee
  • • Stay abreast of current trends and developments that can enhance
  • program delivery and impact
  • • Champion the NKF brand and ensure program communications,
  • events, and partnerships align with the overall brand strategy

Requirements

  • 5 years post-qualification relevant experience - out of which must be;
  • - 2year experience in program execution within a non-profit organization
